Inspired by house painters happily applying a white primer to freshen up a wall using their paint rollers and putty knives before the final paint. Seeing them doing this simple process is a vision of pure joy in the creative process of applying white paint to prepare a new wall. In this series, I tried to capture and explore this priming process by applying white acrylic paint with gesso using a putty knife and bold brushstrokes over a preconceived composition to give my final work a fresh new look.
